The Dark Knight Rises was fantastic! It was a great end to a great trilogy despite some dissatisfaction from a lot of hard-core fans. It may due in part to the fact that it departs from its prequel. Heath’s enticing performance and the menace in the Joker’s character differs significantly to Tom Hardy’s Bane. No doubt Tom gave a great performance, but once you have experienced Heath’s Joker and the character’s mentality — the menace and the subtle dark humor — in that of the last film, you may feel that there is a lack of that little magic in this installment, but I think you must look past that and once you do, you will find that this is a great gem. The pace is similar to that of Batman Begins. It is the last road in Batman’s journey and I think Christopher Nolan ties it all together perfectly. [Minor Spoiler Alert! —- I was in tears when Michael Caine’s Alfred started crying :’( ]
Damn. “Fuck yeah late night hosts” is gone.
